Known bugs
These are not bugs
- Searching on some searchbastard engines (ie wikipedia) causes an error to show up in the error console (Response: Correct. Its a firefox bug, and it has been reported)
- Even though there are several instances of a "normal" firefox engine, they share the same alias. (Response: They do, and one could argue that they shouldn't. The reason that they do, is that searchbastard sets and reads the alias of the underlying firefox engine, and they don't operate with multiple aliases. It's however not so important, because unlike searchbastard engines, firefox engines cannot be configured. There are in other words not much harm in getting another instance than expected, as they look the same)
Are these bugs? - Haven't verified
- Does engine update work?
- Do not work very well with the very popular (27,278 weekly downloads, 7,237,450 total downloads) All in One SideBar - AiOS (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1027). At first searchbastard would open another sidebar in the oposite side of AiOS. Later, somehow, it started displaying inside AiOS (which may be the preferred way). The problem is that some options disappear (selecting "cleanup level") and I lose the "select another word to autosearch" feature (I have to type the alias everytime)
- Tabs sometimes locks up, så you cant change tab in multisearch-tabs.xul
